“For many people, relaxation and morality with family or friends is an important part of their lives, but we are in a perilous situation.

Planets has called on the travel insurance industry to review its approach to affordable insurance for cancer patients and to develop a model in consultation with cancer bodies and charities.

Mr. Pierce said: “I have written letters to patients on behalf of patients in the past and I am sure many other specialists have done the same, but it should not be left in the lottery to find a receiving company.
