Dear Travel Troubleser My wife and I planned to go to Bonaiir for a scuba diving at the end of last year. Before we left, I went to the hospital with unusual bleeding. My urologist told me not to travel, especially abroad.

So what happened? I guess your claim for TripMate came in at a busy time. Simple insurance claims usually take only a few days to process. But high-value claims (usually more than $ 1,000) should be carefully reviewed and you may have to wait weeks or months for your check to be received.
I know that because I have to wait months for my travel insurance claim to be paid. It may test your patience even if you fully understand what is behind the scenes.
