Last year, the Covid-19 pandemic accelerated the adoption of new technologies across all business sectors – as companies scrambled to find ways to serve their customers and deploy their workers safely.

However, in 2022, as health restrictions lift, technology must be applied to new business challenges: managing supply chains and inflation related to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine; Dealing with logistical and staffing issues caused by Covid and Brexit; and trying to reduce climate risks by hitting green targets.

Do you know companies that are rising to these challenges? If so, please nominate them for the Financial Times’ “Technology Champions of 2022” project.

In partnership with Workday, we aim to showcase UK and European businesses and other organizations using technology to adapt to new risks and opportunities.

While last year’s Tech Championship project focused on businesses making the most of the pandemic, this year, we’re looking for examples of innovation that can help overcome recent challenges caused by geopolitical and economic conditions.

Nominations are now open and can be submitted by filling out a very short online form. FT journalists contribute to the process, scrutinize entries and help draw up shortlists.

After this, a panel of judges studied the nominated companies and selected the best examples from various sectors and named them as “Technology Champions of 2022”. We invite entries from the following sectors.

Companies and organizations selected as “Technology Champions of 2022” will be featured online and in magazines in November.

Accompanying articles examine them and their senior leadership—and their approach to innovation, tenacity, and technical ingenuity.
