Barbershop celebrated 5 years in business on Friday
Friday’s Barbershop at 509 N. Cleveland Ave. Downtown Loveland will reach its fifth year in business on April 3.
April 2020 is an exciting time for the business, which will mark its second anniversary with only essential businesses allowed to open during the pandemic shutdown.
Co-owner Sean Woodrum said the business “barely survived Covid with everyone cutting their own hair, but we survived.”
He and shop co-owner Ali Greggs, along with Gidget the shop dog, said they are still working to get the barbershop back to where it was before the outbreak.
The shop specializes in men’s haircuts and beard grooming, and also offers facials and hair color.
Hours are 9 am – 6 pm Monday – Friday and 9 am – 1 pm on Saturday.

Days bike shop celebrated its 15th anniversary
Days Roll By celebrates its 15th anniversary in April with a customer appreciation sale.
The renovated bicycle and bike parts store is located at 285 E. 29th St. It is located in the fruit shopping center.
The store is offering a 15% discount on customized bikes as a “thank you” to customers, according to a news release.
According to the release, the shop recycles, resurfaces, restores and reuses bike parts and rebuilds both modern and vintage bikes, saving thousands of bikes from landfills in doing so.
The staff adjusts and fixes many bikes.
The store recently started stocking e-bikes at the request of customers. It is now the Mockwheel’s front range carrier.
The store is open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, and 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Thursday – Saturday.

Humane Bean Northern Colorado is hosting a Guest Barista Day on March 9 to raise money for Food at Wheels of Loveland and Charity. 10 percent of all sales at the Loveland location at 6180 E. Crossroads Blvd are donated, resulting in $384.81 for the nonprofit.
Meals on Wheels representatives served as guest baristas to support the effort and share information about the organization with customers.

Humane Bin Northern Colorado is now encouraging the community to clean out their pantries by donating unopened and expired items to those in need.
All Human Bean Northern Colorado locations will accept donations from April 16 to 30, and customers who donate five or more items will receive a free 20-ounce drink on the Human Bean app.
Donations will be split between the Fort Collins Rescue Mission and the Weld Food Bank. Items most needed include canned beans, canned meats, canned soups, canned fruit, canned vegetables, canned tomatoes, dried beans, grains, nut butters, cereals, pasta, applesauce, quinoa, honey, sauces, oats, jelly, and protein bars.
