Following the resignation of Megan Plugger, former director of our school’s preschool and preschool in Glenwood Springs, Kelsey Clapper has been named the new executive.
A native of Clapper Roaring Fork Valley, she has been in pre-school since 2012. She is a mother of two, according to the school’s board of directors.
“She fell in love with the boy, went downstairs and played with them, and based her childhood education on the Montessori method,” the report said.

Ryland joins French CORE.
Ryland, a former employee of the City of Aspen and an ice skating company, has joined CORE as France’s director of regional climate strategy.
The organization’s commitment to accelerating climate change in the Rering Fork Valley indicates the next major step is the addition of French to the CORE group, the statement said.
CORE established the new location in direct response to the urgency of the climate crisis, the statement said.
With his work with the City of Aspen, France has recently designed and operated high-impact projects such as Aspen Energy Test and Workplace Communications for Wilts.
“The valley has little time, and the communities are saying we need to do more,” France said in a statement. “We want to have a big impact and we want it fast, and I’m really looking forward to it this time.”
CORE is finalizing its search for a new chief executive and is moving to a central location to better serve the Roaring Fork Valley, the statement said.
