of Fez Smart Factory (FSF) competitionsLaunched as part of the FSF ecosystem and managed by the EuroMed University of Fes (UEMF), Morocco, it is a competition for companies to be part of a global support zone for innovation activities. This competition is initiated by applying Industry 4.0 principles, methods and technologies to improve industrial productivity and other KPIs or to develop new factories for innovative products.

The Fez Smart Factory competition is seeking applicants for four ecosystem components
The Phase Smart Factory Competition invites applications from innovative companies to join one of the following four FSF ecosystem components:
- Fez Smart Factory Accelerator (for startups) A reception area for start-ups with development projects for high-value and intelligent industrial units for competitive products.
- R&D services for Industry 4.0 (for R&D entities): The Fez Smart Factory competition aims to select five R&D entities to be placed in open spaces dedicated to R&D services in the FSF ecosystem. A single entity is selected in each industry sector from among those included in the FSF ecosystem. (Find a list of focus areas below)
- Engineering services for Industry 4.0 (for engineering companies): The Fez Smart Factory Competitions aims to select ten engineering companies that will occupy the spaces provided for FSF’s ecosystem engineering services. They are selected based on technology and usability issues, from predictable maintenance to optimal energy management and cloud solutions, among others. (Find a list of focus areas below)
- Business Center 4.0 (for SME and large industrial companies) This part of the FSF ecosystem provides accommodation for SMEs and large companies and industrial units that want to invest in Morocco in the field of industry 4.0.

Millennium Challenge Account – The FSF Ecosystem is supported by the Fund for Sustainable Industrial Zones (FONZID), following a call for projects jointly launched by the Moroccan Agency (MCA-Morocco) and the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Fonzid is part of the “Industrial Land” activity of the “Compact II” cooperation program, which is supported by the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) and whose implementation is entrusted to the MCA-Morocco agency.
