Brenner Children’s Shop in Norway will close after 49 years of business

NORWAY – Almost everyone in Norway who wears a baptismal or first sacrament or who later joins the army and needs a Scout uniform has gone to the shelves of Brenner.

The store sells children’s clothing, religious clothing, scouting accessories and some local school uniforms.

After 49 years, the Greenfield family will soon be closing in on the Brenner children’s shop.

Aaron Greenfield will turn 96 next week, which is surprising given the age-old lie.

“I was 15. I would go into Auschwitz and the chimney, as they say. But my mother remembered,” Tell them you’re 16, “she said.

That lie and mother’s love saved him from death. But with difficulty.

“He told me on the right, and since then, I’ve been to a concentration camp, and nine. Most of us can’t walk anymore. Skin and bones, bones. People don’t understand. What does hunger mean?” Said Greenfield.

He lost both his parents and seven sisters. Love and happiness are stolen from him, but not forever. Decades later he was reunited with his wife, Martha, at a Polish dance in Dorchester. The two have been involved in family and business ever since.

“In his life, he lived with his clients’ little children because he had nothing,” Martha said.

Greenfield looked evil in the eye, but I kept a flash in his head; He stayed well inside. And the fact that the Greenfield left the city center is a good legacy.

He added: “It’s something we always respect. Because this was our life between the two of us.”

They are working to sell goods before they finally close. They are looking forward to moving with their child’s family, and more time with three grandchildren.
