One of the largest fashion retailers in Brazil is using RFID technology to obtain accurate inventory information.

Renner is deploying an RFID-based inventory information solution from Sensormatic Solutions, a Johnson Controls company. After implementing Sensormatic technology in all stores, Renner saw an 87% reduction in out-of-stocks and a 64% increase in inventory accuracy. ¹

According to Renner, more than 500 million products have been tagged with Sensormatic RFID technology, which allows more than 4 million item readings every day. In addition to increasing the quantity and quality of data, the retailer can better optimize the path of each product from the distribution center to the warehouse.

RFID enables real-time data management and product availability by providing accurate inventory information. For example, Renner can now see which items were taken to the fitting room and if they were ultimately sold or not. In addition, in-store and online shoppers can have better visibility of where a desired product is located.

Rainer It uses a single item-level RFID tag to support data capture and security applications, eliminating redundant tags. In an effort to eliminate the need for barcode reading and improve customer service, the retailer implemented RFID at the checkout. RFID alerts placed at store entrances help prevent losses.
