BLACKPINK’s Jennie joins Vogue Korea for a photoshoot and interview!

On January 17th, Vogue Korea released a beautiful pictorial of Jenny. Jennie took part in a photoshoot in Berlin while on BLACKPINK’s European tour. When asked how she adjusts her life as she is constantly moving from one place to another because of her work, Jenny said, “I felt it was important to create an environment where I felt as comfortable and familiar as possible. So every time I go on tour I like to pack as much luggage as I move my room, but among all the things, a pillow is very important. Even when I go overseas, I always make sure I bring the pillow I use at home.”

When asked if there is something she always does when visiting certain cities, Jenny said, “I like to go to places where I feel the uniqueness of that city. Sometimes I go to visit landmarks or visit markets. During my tour of Europe, I visited Christmas markets in every city.

When asked how it feels to be a role model, Jenny said, “It’s an honor to be someone’s role model and I’m grateful. I also hope that this year will be the year that I can be a better role model for those who have supported me.

Jenny shares what her latest inspirations are and what kind of project she wants to start based on those inspirations. She said, “I tend to get a lot of inspiration from the little things. I get inspiration from the shapes of the clouds I see that day and from the magazines and people I see along the way. Recently, I found great inspiration in seeing different people and buildings while visiting many cities in Europe. “I want to try it again, not as a project, but I want to try shooting with a film camera that I’ve been neglecting for a while,” she added.

Jennie’s 2023 is off to a busy start with BLACKPINK’s world tour. Asked what she wanted to do this year as a previously self-described “regular person,” Jenny replied, “Last year was very busy, and busy.” I wish for this year to be a year where I take better care of myself and my people outside of my work. I hope to be able to spend more happy and enjoyable time with my loved ones.
