Purdue University and the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy will host Purdue’s “Bilateral Tech Diplomacy Series” from 5-7 pm ET Aug. 30 in the Stewart Center, Room 206 will host the opening remarks.
The series aims to bring together academic, industry and diplomatic leaders from around the world to discuss critical topics in technology and diplomacy and how technology can be used to advance freedom. This inaugural lecture will feature speakers from the United States and Australia and will focus on key aerospace technologies and the technological implications of misinformation and disinformation.
The event was organized by Purdue, the Krach Tech Diplomacy Institute at Purdue, Flinders University-Australia and the Jeff Bleach Center for Digital Technology, Security and Governance-Australia, the Australian Embassy in the United States and the US Embassy in Australia.
The event will include a fireside discussion with Australia’s Ambassador to the US, the Honorable Arthur Sinodinos, and Purdue University President-Elect Mung Chiang. A keynote address by the Honorable Jeff Bleach, former US Ambassador to Australia; and two roundtable discussions covering aerospace technologies and misinformation and disinformation.
The event will also be streamed live, and registration is required for in-person and virtual attendance.
