One could argue that heritage is at the core of every movement – but perhaps history should not remain confined to the archives of the past. It may be used as a reference point. The house suggests that the past can be reused in the future by Valentino Vintage.

Here’s how it works.

First, bring your favorite Valentino clothing to the Valentino Vintage Shop. Then choose a new design to transform your already loved baby. It’s as simple as that.

Unrestricted by current trends, the project allows the global fashion community to explore past garments that speak to them in a dynamic shopping style.

Valentino Vintage first opened its eyes to the world of fashion in 2021, starting as a small project with boutiques opened in fashion capitals worldwide. There’s Madame Pauline in Milan, where her eccentric personality reshapes wine to fit, and the Palace of Plaisir in Paris, a unique beauty splashed with bright colors. And let’s not forget Relic: a London-based hotspot for celebrities and celebrities, the experimental selection flirts with precious pieces from the 60s.

The list includes a vacation in Los Angeles, and the collection ranges from cowrie gowns to band T-shirts and vintage Tokyo dresses, with the inventory spanning a century. Jeannemarch Maison, curated by lifestyle creative director Jung Jae Ok, brings the Parisian boutique to Seoul’s vibrant Seongsu-dong neighborhood. At the same time, New York Vintage in New York City magnetizes A-list clients like Rihanna and Michelle Obama with its rich collection of vintage treasures.

While all are unique in their identity and the collections they carry, these boutiques are united in their belief that fashion is timeless, not fleeting. Valentino knows this. That’s why the famous fashion brand carefully selected them as hosts for Valentino Vintage. Weaving the unique culture of their city and the unique vision behind their collections into the Valentino heritage, each boutique brings a different narrative to the table.

However, it’s not just about clothes; It’s also about the talent behind them. To nurture and educate today’s emerging talent through archival fashion, Maison Valentino has partnered with 1 Granary to welcome the new generation of creatives into the world of Valentino Vintage. Seven design schools in seven cities will discover Valentino’s classic masterpieces to delve deeper into the world of the house’s historic heritage.

Enhancing engagement activities and providing students with critical resources to help them realize their visions, the project engages with students in the 1 Granary community online and in person at seven fashion and art schools, one in each of the participating boutique cities. Such as IED in Milan, Institut Français de la Mode in Paris, Central Saint Martins in London, Otis Art and Design College Los Angeles, Coconogacco in Tokyo, ESMOD in Seoul, and Parsons School of Design on the list.
