Then came the positive events and the advice you needed. “In January 2013, I was one of the students at Walter Sisulu University (WSU) and, fortunately, someone gave me a job guide to join us. I told him about my dream job to become a CA (SA) and he had a National Certificate in Accounting. He advised me to go to NHC because it was in the same course as my dream job.

He soon accepted to study at WSU at NHS. “I decided to work hard and eventually decided to become a chartered accountant. I studied for a diploma in Internal Auditing and BTech Internal Auditing. Fortunately, I also accepted to participate in. Supported.

She proudly added, “This means that when I finished the program, I could write the AT (SA) name behind my name and apply for SAICA membership.

There were no obstacles to getting to that point. This includes issues of self-confidence that she has struggled with while studying at SAAA. “I always struggle to believe in my own abilities. Zesetu says the program has taught her discipline, self-confidence and time management. For the first time in my life, I was not. I was afraid to take on that responsibility because the program was well prepared for the leadership role.
