The new promotional posters for Ant-Man 3 hint at a different approach to time travel for the film. Agents of SHIELD may have already been there.
Time — and time travel — has consumed the Marvel Cinematic Universe since the Avengers used it to defeat Thanos. Avengers: Endgame. That quickly led to the creation of the multiverse and the triumphant rise of Kang as the franchise’s big bad for at least the next two years. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania Time travel in the MCU is looking to continue the challenge, specifically with a new set of posters promoting the upcoming film.
The poster design echoes the previous idea Agents of SHIELD, which made a small effort of its own on time travel. While the show itself isn’t canon, the theories about how it’s worked over time are interesting, especially when compared to how the MCU has developed its ideas since then. Quantum It’s an opportunity to rise. Agents of SHIELD concepts and fully integrate them into a franchise.

There are several different theories about how time travel works, which is part of what makes stories centered around the idea so interesting. The theory is that there are multiple Scott Langs and that Kang knows he can do whatever he wants as long as the “sticks” he uses are not too big, so he can use them to achieve his will.
Of course, Kang is famous for twisting the truth in big ways and not in small ways. But such actions are risky and require knowing how far one can push a given timeline before drastic changes occur. The ripple effect on the posters suggests that the film might take that route. if so, Agents of SHIELD It has the correct explanation and is ready to go.
