The entrepreneurial spirit will be high at Florida State University this week as the Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship hosts the 2023 National Conference for the United States Association of Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE).

The conference will be held January 18-22. Organizers expect 400 scholars to attend in person, along with another 150 virtual attendees. Events will be focused in and around Tallahassee, showcasing FSU and the city’s entrepreneurial infrastructure.

The Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship will be central to the proceedings and host a few events. Dean of the College Susan Fiorito said faculty and students at FSU will benefit from the conference.

“Faculty learn the latest classroom techniques and network with research partners. FSU faculty will have the opportunity to showcase all that FSU and the college has to offer, Fiorito said.

Most of the conference will be held at the Turnbull Center on FSU’s campus, but attendees will visit locations throughout Tallahassee: the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, Seminole Legacy Golf Club and Railroad Square.

“Top entrepreneurship educators from around the world are excited to come to Florida State to share dynamic and impactful experiences and network with veterans in the field,” said USASB President and CEO Julian Shields. “The Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship is an ideal host for current and future leaders in entrepreneurship education. We look forward to exploring the campus and the beautiful surroundings of Tallahassee.”
