The Alpinestars Vector Tech MIPS helmet is not for the squeamish about style. My test helmet came in black and white; Fairly neutral in the color department. However, the rugged look of the era definitely has an air of bull about it. Vector Tech is built with an EPS liner, a rigid frame and an outer shell made of polycarbonate that reinforces the lower part of the helmet. In short, it protects your crane.

Vector Tech is a half shell helmet though He hears. As a full face protection due to the area around the temples, the nape of the neck and the dropped area at the back of the head. This design, combined with the height-adjustable visor, makes it easy to match the Vector Tech to the size of your glasses and windshield. I find it much easier to secure the back Google straps with a little slip. My glasses were also safely tucked under the visor and he suddenly took off his forehead and hit me in the face. To be clear, I have small/medium sized glasses; Larger glasses don’t blend well into the front window and don’t sit easily under the viewfinder, even at the maximum of three adjustment points.

Fortunately, I don’t normally use glasses unless I’m racing and pairing the Vector with a large pair of sunglasses. The top of most glasses fit the clip profile and the arms were snug under the armature and over the inner adjuster.

The Vector Tech has a slim, long fit, plush and comfortable interior lining. This helmet is perfect for people with small heads like myself. The shape and depth didn’t crowd my small head circumference. From the insideBut the exterior profile has an above-average charm. The special shape of the vector will be suitable Most of it Heads are good. The depth has two adjustment points and the circumference can be increased or decreased with the thumb wheel tightening system, both located on the back.

Due to the ample padding, the Vector feels tight at first, but after several wears (and sweat sessions) I find the padding compresses a bit, creating a bit more room and fewer pressure points.

Alpstars Vector Tech helmet also highlights MIPS multi-directional impact protection. Helmets equipped with MIPS liners often crack and pull hair. But the thicker, quick-drying, anti-bacterial, machine-washable mat layer actually reduces common MIPS hair breakage.

The chin strap is a standard clip and can be easily adjusted with the strap slits below the ear. A nice feature is that the front chin strap comes above the padding and MIPS line, while some go below or come from the bottom of the helmet. However, this does mean that the strap sits higher on the face than most helmets I’ve tried. It doesn’t bother me, but it has a different look about it.

Vector Tech boasts 19 leaks, which sounds like a lot in theory. However, the vents themselves are very small and the internal ventilation is partially blocked by the MIPS line. Unfortunately, it didn’t provide as much airflow as I pushed for, which led to a lot of sweat on the inside. A thick layer can be soaked. A little bitBut at some point, the hood gives off streams of sweat from the browbone and head. Unfortunately, unless you’re in the arid desert, the pads will get wet for the duration of your trip, so bring a microfiber sweat towel.

I tested the size a bit, weighing 386g (13.5oz) and fitting 51-55cm long heads. Although the vector feels heavy in the region Same helmet.

The Alpinestars Vector Tech MIPS helmet offers excellent protection, especially for those who prefer goggles. I would also like to imagine that this would be a very nice helmet in the fall and winter, on the contrary, because of the vents. The Vector Tech is available in three sizes: S (51cm-55cm), M (55-59cm), L (59-63cm). It’s comfortable, accommodates glasses and sunglasses, and has a unique look. It feels heavier than some trail hats, but if you don’t mind, it’s a great choice.
