A hypothetical view of Clemson’s journey in the SEC

For now, Clemson is still part of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Southeast and Big Ten conferences will be updated in the near future, with the latest conference improvements in line with recent developments, which will also change future travel plans.

Suppose tigers join the SEC for this hypothesis. When the Longhorns announced they were looking forward to the Big 12 last year, adding Cleanson would not change the SEC’s geographical footprint, just like adding Texas. The SEC already has member schools in Texas A&M and South Carolina.

But Oklahoma, a new addition to Texas’s CEC, will be the farthest state of the conference in 2024, west of CCCP. Although the league’s representation extends to New York (Syracuse) and Massachusetts (Boston College). Missouri is on the north side until the SEC goes.

The distance from Clementon to each ACC stadium is 5,794 miles combined. This is less than the total distance of 2,262 miles at each SEC stadium, and although this level of separation is expected, for the time being, the SEC has two more football members (16) than the ACC.

Last year, Clemson traveled 2,153 miles to play the ACC road program, the longest of four trips from Syracuse (858). This fall, as the Tigers prepare to travel to Georgia Tech, Walk Forrest, Florida State and Boston College, their total distance will be reduced to 1,690.

If the SEC continues its eight-game conference schedule and Clemson should have had four short trips in its first year in the league, they include Georgia (76), South Carolina (134), Tennessee (195) and Auburn (). 236), the tigers cover a total of 641 miles.

As class opponents, the Tigers travel to those places every year, but Texas, Oklahoma (984), Texas A&M (952) and Missouri (788) are all at least 750 miles away.

So Clemson can see that he has entered the SEC many miles, although the difference is relatively small and as a conference member he is mostly close to tigers.
