The ELITE Women organization hosted its fourth annual Work Style Fashion Show on Wednesday, September 21st at 7pm in the Student Union Hall.
ELITE WOMEN Mission is to create networks of women to improve knowledge sharing, provide personal and professional development resources, and encourage excellence in all aspects of life through effective teaching and leadership methods.
Jayla Breaks, president of the organization, said, “This event is an ELITE tradition. The organization focuses on empowerment, mentoring and networking. The events we host are focused on one or more themes.
The show is designed to showcase appropriate attire for any professional occasion. The models showcased a variety of looks from career fairs, interviews, parties, date night and classy attire.
The models were all volunteers who were asked to write two pictures first to approve the clothes they intended to model.
Yazmyn Smith, Vice President, “The clothes shown are personal clothes from the models. The costumes are chosen by the executive board and the event committee to be included in the lineup or not.
Before the show started, the audience was treated to a professional trivia to boost morale.
During intermission, the Flipside Dance performed a routine as models moved into the final two categories.
