Donors help Tech Farm purchase a new cattle trailer

Private funding enabled the Arkansas Tech University Department of Agriculture and Tourism to purchase a new cattle trailer for use on the Tech Farm.

Donations from Yale County rancher and former Russellville auto dealership owner John Harris and other supporters of ATU’s agriculture program made the trailer possible.

“This will make everything about our livestock operations easier and more efficient,” said Dr. Marshall Swafford, head of the ATU’s Department of Agriculture and Tourism. “It makes the work environment safer for our students and staff, and makes transportation more convenient for our livestock. The improvements that come with this particular trailer will extend the investment for years to come.”
