Jedi Sports Fashion, a retailer of sports, fashion and foreign brands, has announced that Andy Higginson has been appointed chairman of the company since July 11.
The appointment follows an extensive search process by the Board with the support of an external search agency.
Higginson has more than 28 years of experience as a non-executive executive director on the boards of a private limited company (PLC), including senior management positions in Tesco for nearly 15 years. Most recently, from January 2015, William Morrison Supermarket Plc took over as chairman of CD and RLLP in November 2021. He is currently the Executive Director of Flutter PLC.
Based in Bury, England, JD Sports Fashion has more than 900 stores around the world.

DCA has appointed Dan Currell as CEO.
Currell leads the International Trade Association in its mission to promote collaboration, education and technology in digital business, card connectivity, mobile wallets and financial data.
Currell most recently served as Managing Director of Advance Law. He previously served as Deputy Secretary and Senior Adviser at the US Department of Education. The Digital Commerce Alliance includes digital trading companies such as Microsoft, Bank of America, MasterCard, Google, Vantaj Point, Transunion, Rakuton and Cardics.
