Ruston, the., May 22, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — William C. “Bill” Bailey Jr., CEO of Radiance Technologies, is the newest recipient. Louisiana Tech University Tower Medal Award. The Louisiana Tech Alumni Association chose to honor Mr. Bailey for his exceptional achievements, community service and humanitarian efforts. Mr. Bailey also entered. Louisiana Tech Hall of Honored Alumni at Spring Commencement Saturday, May 20, 2023.
Mr. Bailey, proud student Louisiana Techgraduated March 1987 Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He made a wonderful journey from his childhood home Asheville, IL to the United States Air Force and eventually to his current position as CEO of Radiance Technologies.
Bailey demonstrated his commitment to education during his time in the Air Force and earned a degree while serving as commander of the B-52G squadron at Barksdale Air Force Base. The Air Force realized his potential and transferred it to him Louisiana Tech On full scholarship to complete the course. After graduation, the USAF hired Mr. Bailey as a research and development (R&D) engineer, bringing his expertise to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and later to Phillips Lab in 1998. Albuquerque, NM.
Following his military service, Mr. Bailey transitioned to corporate America, where in Department of Defense, National Intelligence Community and other government agencies.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mr. Bailey and his family are committed to giving back to their community. They actively support Louisiana Tech and its academic, creative and athletic initiatives. Additionally, the Bailey family seeks out programs to help abused and disadvantaged children, foster agencies, child advocacy centers, and incarcerated youth.
