ANAHEIM, Calif. (KABC) — Disney wants to expand Disneyland and talks are getting serious.
According to a report published by the OC Register on Wednesday, the company has released its long-term expansion proposal to business leaders.
Disney laid out what Anaheim’s theme park resort district would look like over the next three decades.
Not only will it bring attractions from international parks, but there will be more retail and parking space.
Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock of OC Registration spoke about the “DisneylandForward” proposal before the OC Forum at DC’s Grand Californian Hotel.
The presentation served as a town hall meeting where Disneyland made the case to Orange County business and civic leaders about the tourism, tax revenue and job benefits of the proposal.
Meanwhile, the city of Anaheim is hosting hearings to get input from residents.
Disney is the parent company of this ABC channel.
