2023 Cooperative Seedling Giveaways!
Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets City Market is excited to announce that applications for the Community Grants Program are now open! If you have a project in mind that aligns with their mission to support local food systems, environmental sustainability and community resilience, they are encouraged to apply.
The deadline to submit your grant application is Friday 23 June 2023 at 5pm. You can submit a digital application to apply. [email protected]Drop off a hard copy at our Downtown or South End Customer Service Desk or mail to City Market, Attn: Carrie Putscher, 82 South Winooski Avenue, Burlington VT 05401.
A committee made up of City Market members and staff will review the applications and make recommendations to the Board of Directors for grant awards. Grant requests can range from $500 to $7,500.

NE-DBIC Dairy Products Marketing and Branding Grant
The Dairy Marketing and Brand Services Grant Program is accepting applications from established value-added dairy processors and producer associations. The program provides financial support to these entities to partner with marketing and branding experts to promote and promote their dairy products.
Early adopters have used the funding to design digital and marketing materials, develop brand packaging and implement a digital marketing strategy.
The grant awards range from $10,000-50,000 with a 25% match.
The application deadline is June 8.

The Big E is a 17-day fair and exposition held in West Springfield, MA each fall. Harvest New England Day is a one-day, farmers market-style event and a great opportunity for businesses looking to test their produce on the Big E without the multi-day commitment.

Reminder: Agricultural Agronomic Activities Program
Notice that the VAAFM Farm Agronomic Practices (FAP) program is open for applications.
FAP invests state funds in soil-based agricultural practices to improve soil quality, increase crop yields, and reduce soil erosion and surface runoff from agricultural fields.
Eligible conservation practices must be installed before June 30 and can include manure application, conservation tillage, no-graze grazing and turf restoration, among others.
Funding is available on a first-come, first-served basis, so apply now!
