The former Prince of Wales, Queen Charles III will take the throne next Saturday, May 6, at Westminster Abbey in London, a historic site where 39 former leaders of Britain have been enthroned. In 1066 AD. Fundamentally, nothing has changed since the church was consecrated.

Although Charles Philip Arthur George of the Royal House of Windsor immediately assumed the title and role of British monarch when Queen Elizabeth II abdicated in September last year, it is now only the sovereign of the United Kingdom (UK) and the Commonwealth. It’s coming. And boy, is he rocking the world.

It’s not lost on anyone that 70 years have passed since the Queen’s coronation before Charles, that the dramatic ceremony was being broadcast and celebrated on the world stage for the first time. So the rarity of this royal holiday gives Britons cause for unparalleled celebration, and the rest of the world seems eager to join in.
