Lubbock, Texas – No. 18 Baylor softball dropped its opener to Texas Tech 10-8 Friday night at Rocky Johnson Field.

The Bears, who are 32-10 on the season, hit two long touchdowns in the game, which featured five total field goals on both ends.

Baylor held the Bears’ multi-hit home run record by two, but came up just short after Texas Tech scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.

The run
