Seoul, South Korea

Seoul Fashion Week is a star-studded affair, with actresses and K-pop artists among the high-profile guests appearing on the runways this season.

Some of the hottest looks can be found outside as attendees arrive in style during the five-day Fall-Winter 2023 schedule. Others were worn by fashion enthusiasts, who wanted the opportunity to show off their personal style.

With the chill in the South Korean capital, plenty of structured jackets and playful sweaters were on display. And there was no shortage of eye-catching clothes.

“Nowadays, people have good fashion,” said 20-year-old Lee Hyeon Seo on his way to a show on Friday. “Koreans have made progress in this field, I think this is amazing.”

Dressed in a cropped women’s jacket, Lee said he was a fan of Korean designers ul:kin and Lee Seong-dong. “They create genderless and streetwear – that’s why I love them so much.”

Elsewhere, Juno Jung, 33, arrived in an oversized Balenciaga shirt and Acne Studios pants.

“I thought Korean fashion was very focused on K-pop groups and everyone wore the same clothes,” Jung said. “But after enjoying Seoul Fashion Week, I saw different fashions (on display) … I can say that K-fashion will develop more in the future.”
