Natalia Bryant needs no big introduction. You’ve probably seen her on the cover. Teen Vogue, or smiling for the cameras at the Met Gala, wearing a sparkling Conor Ives gown. Now, with a modeling contract with IMG — the same agency that represents Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber — Bryant has all the makings to become a force on the fashion scene. Just recently, on March 9, the 20-year-old fronted Donatella Versace’s star-studded runway show in Los Angeles. She was later found that weekend on March 12th. During a busy and eventful week in Los Angeles, Bryant spoke with TZR on the phone about the whirlwind of her life. Fortunately, spring break has begun, balancing a busy schedule with studying film at the University of Southern California, where she is now a sophomore.

Bryant said she went to the Versace show after a long day of classes at USC, but she was happy to be caught up and busy. “I was beyond honored to be there and I was wearing head-to-toe Versace,” she said of the label’s zebra velvet midi dress, Tempest platform pumps and a versatile mini hobo bag for the event. “The shoes were so cool, I felt amazing in them. Versace does a great job of making women feel empowered and strong. It was electric at the show.” [flowing through the room] And everyone was very sweet and inspiring.

She walked the carpet in a figure-hugging black velvet gown with profile bow sleeves from Monsori, a look she worked on with stylist Monica Rose. “As soon as I put it down, we knew this was the right outfit. He was huge,” Bryant said.

As the daughter of two famous parents, Bryant is always in the public eye. However, her passion for fashion and modeling is encouraging the rising star to step into the spotlight on her own accord. “Models embody such strength and power,” she says, adding that she wants to explore her career path further. “They inspire the younger generation of girls, which is very important to me being the eldest of younger sisters. I want to be able to inspire younger generations.

Bryant’s earliest memories can be traced back to playing dress-up with her mother’s clothes and accessories. “I would always go into her closet and I loved her shoes. She had all these beautiful sequined and embellished dresses that I thought were so amazing,” she recalls. Luckily, for Bryant, her mom is generous with keeping the pieces in her closet for her children — she even made a small Chanel bag for her oldest son to inherit one day.

Accessories, in particular, hold special emotional parts in Bryant’s heart that the two connect and share. “My mom and I love jewelry, so she had my sisters and I dress up in Van Cleef necklaces one year; And they are so beautiful,” she says. “This episode will be more meaningful because it includes the rest of our family.”

It’s clear that Bryant’s mother definitely gave her a great foundation to build her personal style on. When I asked if the two fashionistas had similar tastes, Bryant said:[As a child] You don’t want to admit that you get a lot from your mother, but now that I’m older, I realize that I’m getting too used to her. I think it can be applied to fashion, beauty and film as well. As my writing style evolved, I really took it to that.

Scroll through Bryant’s Instagram account and you’ll find this less-than approach (when she’s not decked out on the red carpet, that is) clearly resonates with her 2.8 million followers. She describes herself as someone who invests in classics, and loves tailored silhouettes. And cute accessories – she’s obsessed with mini bags these days. A few favorite pieces? “If I was going out for dinner, I’d wear a nice black, long pants with a bodysuit underneath, a cardigan and some low heels,” she says. Love Wear it with cargo pants or just pants in general because they are so versatile. Another essential item in her everyday wardrobe is jeans. “You can never go wrong with a levee low, high, or high. [styles]I love it,” she says, pointing to the wide-leg design.

Like most 20-year-olds, Bryant’s personal style and professional aspirations are still evolving. She confines herself to modeling and fashion careers and considers film as another important aspect of her identity. Bryant and her father Kobe shared a love for movies, especially Star Wars Series. She also wants to travel more, because school doesn’t give her the freedom to sail whenever she wants. When asked if her fashion journey could lead to starting her own brand or collaborating in the future, she doesn’t rule it out as an option. “I’ve always wanted to do something nice and comfortable because I grew up in Orange County and the Newport Beach area, and there’s something very freeing about that,” she said. “Whatever I do, it must remind me of my home.”

Either way ways Bryant takes it, one thing’s for sure: she’ll do it in style.
