The day after designer Denis Basso’s New York Fashion Week show, he flew to charming Gstaad, Switzerland.

Basson – who has dressed Kris Jenner, Martha Stewart and Helen Mirren – told us they spotted the London socialite in a floor-length $200,000 Russian sable coat at midnight at the Ritzy Palace Hotel.

“Things start at 2 p.m. in Gstaad and go until 2 a.m.,” our source said when asked about the late hours.

We’ve heard that the adorable fur coat that recently opened Basson’s New York Fashion Week show at 583 Park is the same one.

“She saw it on the Internet,” says a community insider.

We’re told the talk of the town is the lack of snow, but a Gstaad source laments that “everyone had to buy it.”

Basso was in town to celebrate his 68th birthday, a tradition that began 21 years ago in the Swiss ski town.

Basso, her husband Michael, and were spotted celebrating the occasion at the hotel’s Le Grille restaurant, our source told us.

“All the 150 non-invited people at the party went ‘Happy Birthday’ with the violinist,” he said.

We heard that Basso was more burnt by his close friends in their respective chalets.

The designer is celebrating 40 years in fashion. His latest New York show – which featured modeling icon Beverly Johnson on the runway – featured a video montage of celebrity clients including the late Barbara Walters and Ivana Trump.
