Fe-ra-ri: three styles. The second tongue roll is like a cat purr—or like an engine rev. Just saying his name is an exhilarating experience. Add sleek lines, luxurious upholstery and sensational Italian leather accents to the formula and you’ve got the Ferrari experience.

As Ferrari presented its Spring/Summer 2023 collection, a soulful jazz melody and sweeping strings clashed with ultra-electronic beats. While it may seem different, the show’s results hinted at clear references to Ferrari’s latest collection coming soon.

While the house embraced terracotta, pastel blues, tans and indigo, the usual hunter green, iridescent yellow and Ferrari red appeared in the collection. Sometimes the colors resembled palm prints and tie dyes. High ways of embellishing clothes were also taken with highly embellished pants, tops and dresses embellished with bulk sequins. Iconic of the Ferrari lifestyle, the collection was a visual celebration of living life in the fast lane and the aspirational dream associated with its name.

This season, the house revs its sartorial engine as we rejoin the Italian icon in the white box of the runway as we see Ferrari’s Fall/Winter 2023 collection. Burning brightly and stripped back to its core, the runway becomes a blank canvas as Rocco Iannone kicks off the season with a look that couldn’t be more Ferrari.

In a natural tone to the city, a utilitarian coat paired with an asymmetrical buckle belt took off on the terrace. Despite its simplicity, the coat ensemble showed low-key Italian craftsmanship with black laces, black and red studded gloves and a soft leather shoulder bag. While the emphasis was on the material, the show’s opening marked a departure from the frenetic prints of the spring.

As the presentation progressed, Look Three distinguished itself. Although housed in the house’s signature shade of charcoal, the coat is covered in Ferrari red, imbuing the outfit with a mysterious edge. Always on the run, the Ferrari woman is suddenly infused with a sophisticated elegance laced with masculinity – all of which is insatiable with the brand’s need for speed.

Color blocking permeates the collection with charcoal, hunter green, bubblegum pink and blue. Urban elegance is imprinted on the house’s latest collection, presented in attractive combinations.

As models passed through the audience, swaying, fringed sweaters created quite a spectacle. With variations from sweaters to jumpsuits, her distressed stripes subvert the world-famous logo. Contrasting heather gray with navy, steel blue, and bubblegum pink, the house captures the edgy vibe the fanbase is constantly seeking. Sweater dresses and ankle-length dresses played up the same interpretation of the logo, giving a more refined look to the striking design.

A pleated circle pant adds a statement to an already vibrant ensemble. With their bracketed structure, an air of sci-fi fantasy is instilled in the collection’s sporty DNA. The pants seem to attract attention, evoking images of racing drivers descending the circuit or gravity-defying spacesuits. Some in the audience smiled, others frowned, most of them standing there trying to track down the references that gave birth to their outward appearances.

While primarily a car manufacturer, Ferrari is quickly gaining momentum as it climbs to the top of the charts at Milan Fashion Week. Bold and edgy, the Italian brand continues to establish its place in the fashion world with pioneering looks that satisfy today’s sports fashion needs.
