SHELTON – A man threatened a female victim from New London to Shelton early Tuesday, local police said.
Daquon Graham, 28, Ansonia, was charged with second-degree unlawful restraint, second-degree threatening and third-degree promoting prostitution, Det. Christopher Nugent of the Shelton Police Department said. Graham posted a $75,000 bond, Nugent said.
Shelton Patrol officers responded to the Bridgeport Avenue hotel around 2 a.m. Tuesday after receiving a report of a female victim on the scene who had been forced to leave the New London hotel, Nugent reported. Detectives saw the victim walking toward the exit with Graham and identified both of them, Nugent said.
The victim said she was transported to the Shelton Hotel against her will, and Graham threatened her on the ride, Nugent said. While on scene, detectives discovered Graham had rented a room at the hotel suspected of hosting “adult escort services,” Nugent said.
Graham is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Derby on March 15, according to Nugent.
