BRIDGEPORT – Police say a woman robbed a business Jan. 22 in the city’s Black Rock neighborhood.
The suspect is described as having a dark complexion and waist-length braided hair, Bridgeport Police Capt. Kevin Giller said Wednesday. She was wearing a black dress and black and white sneakers and was carrying a large white purse, Gilleran said.
A business on Fairfield Avenue was robbed around 12:55 a.m. on Jan. 22, according to Giller. The suspect stole a safe containing cash from the facility, Giller said.
The suspect traveled to Bridgeport and returned to Fairfield on foot after the robbery, Giller said. She was last seen on Grasmere Street in Fairfield, Giller said.
Bridgeport released surveillance footage showing the woman walking along a boarded path and sidewalk with wired headphones hanging around her neck.
Bridgeport detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect, Giller said.
