This is an exciting addition for digital marketers – Instagram had it. Added a new ‘Lead Form’ option. Action buttons on your IG business profile that provide new ways to get direct feedback from your business presence in the app.
As you can see here, now, in addition to the existing three CTA buttons, you can choose to ‘Add Lead Form’ on your profile. You can choose a standard dataset CTA or add custom questions to further guide queries.
The process allows you to choose multiple choice or short answer responses, which is another way to gain insight from your IG profile visitors.
It can be a great way to further qualify the needs from the app and gather more information for tracking and planning.
For example, you can use these questions to better segment and prioritize queries, or as an easy way to express more of your brand and engage with users in the app. It can also help you gather information about your business – like how people heard about you, etc.
While it is not clear whether this is a test Many users are seeing the option. It’s not yet listed in Instagram’s official action buttons list in the app (we’ve asked IG for more info on this).
But many business users now have an option, and it might be worth checking out your IG CTA options and considering how you can use them.
