Eco Wave Energy is bringing its offshore wave energy technology to the US.

Echo Wave Power will officially unveil its offshore power station tomorrow at AltaSea, a public-private ocean institute in the Port of Los Angeles.

Altasea’s pilot project is Israel-based Echo Wave Power’s first in the United States and it believes it is “the first offshore wave energy technology to be deployed in the United States.”

Eco Wave Power, which generates clean electricity from ocean and sea waves, spent more than a year renovating, renovating and transporting the unit to Los Angeles. It arrived in December.

The company says the technology is easily transportable or replicable to meet the unique energy needs of the country’s coast.

Eco Wave Power floats — the blue dinghies in the water in the photo above — convert the motion of rising and falling waves into power generation.

The movement of the floats compresses and reverses the connected hydraulic pistons, which transfer corrosive hydraulic fluid to a reservoir on the ground where the pressure is generated. The pressure rotates the hydraulic motor, which rotates the generator, and then the electricity is transferred to the grid through the inverter. After decompression, the fluid is returned to the hydraulic fluid reservoir, which is then recycled by the pistons, creating a closed circuit system.

A full-wave-energy power station is monitored and controlled by a smart automation system.

Eco Wave Power plans to develop additional offshore wave power stations in the US, Spain, Turkey, Portugal and other areas with a 404.7 MW project pipeline.

The company already has projects in Israel and Gibraltar.
