It is a tradition to look at Christmas lights during the holidays. Lighting displays have a long history, from candles on trees to LED lights.
Travel + Entertainment has released its “Best Christmas Light Displays in Every State,” and one local Middle Tennessee spot made the list.
Travel magazine ranked Gaylord Opryland as the place to find the best Christmas lights in Tennessee. T+L said, “Home of the original Country Christmas, Nashville’s Gaylord Opryland Resort has evolved from a simple Christmas light display to a true winter wonderland. At the holiday light-laden resort, you’ll experience holiday-themed activities, shows and events — and, of course, a visit with Santa.
This year, Opryland brings back the ICE display, the Village continues with activities from tubing to ice skating, and of course, the Oak Ridge Boys return for the “Christmas in Tennessee” dinner show.
