Chick is back in the week.

After years of New York Fashion Weeks being more somber than glam — even before the pandemic hit — this season’s event seems to be showing signs of A-List life.

Fashion’s biggest week technically kicks off on Friday, but stars like Janet Jackson and Julia Fox are kicking off earlier.

Jackson kicked off NYFW on Tuesday with Jazz at Lincoln Center, Harlem’s Fashion Row and LVMH honored her with the “Icon of the Year” award.

Issa Rae, Sergio Hudson and Robin Givhan were honored during the evening’s Harlem Fashion Row 15th Annual Fashion Show and Style Awards at the General Grant National Memorial in Harlem.

Unlike the other nominees, Jackson accepted her award late at the afterparty because she “literally flew in from London,” she told the crowd.

Meanwhile, downtown indie fashionista Julia Fox attended David Rabin’s American Bar, where her brand manager Kendall Werts celebrated the five-year anniversary of talent agency The Jeffries.

Wertz client Evan Mock belted out tunes at the event, and George Wayne and Aki Lee Simon — daughter of Kimora Lee and Russell Simon — were also in attendance.

The party “felt like Studio 54,” Wertz told us.

And of course, the mayor of the party, Eric Adams, should get in on all the fashion action. We hear he’ll be hosting a CFDA party with Anna Wintour at the Gracie Mansion on Thursday.
