Rainy weather on Saturday caused some problems for the cross country world, although some of the meets with Hamilton County teams were able to run to the finals.

The Noblesville girls team traveled to Columbus North for a showdown between the Millers and Bull Dogs, two teams that are among the best in the state. But the meet was called off after rain forced a halt to the race.

Meanwhile, he managed to finish a big meet in a big place: the Hometown Savings Bank State Preview Meet at the Laverne Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute. The Fishermen’s Boys team and both Guerin Catholic teams were at the meet and each team did well.

The Tigers finished third in the team with 69 points. Zionsville won with 45 points and Valparaiso tied the Fishers for second with 68 points. The Tigers were led by sophomore Sam Quagliaroli, who placed fourth in 16 minutes, 6:8 seconds.

Guerin Catholic is good for sixth place with a total of 243 points. Jack Weber led the Golden Eagles with 12.Th.

In the girls varsity competition, Green Catholic finished fifth as a team with 140 points. The Golden Eagles had an individual winner, Bridget Gallagher cruised to victory in 19:30.1.
