Residents can expect to see a little ‘World of Wheels’ in Jamieson on Saturday, September 17th from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm at O’Reilly Auto Parts in Jamieson. The event is free, and O’Reilly hopes the customer appreciation event will bring more value to Jamison.

“This is our first annual car show, and we hope to continue every year,” said store manager Daniel Burnett. We have several car groups from around the country – North, South, East and West! We salvage cars from Central Alabama. We want to bring more people to Jamieson City to promote all the small businesses here.

Burnett added that the car show will host a variety of automobiles, including not only classic cars, but also 18-wheelers, semi-trucks, motorcycles and “never-before-seen” automobiles.

“This is an appreciation event to say ‘thank you’ to our customers,” Burnett said. “We want everyone of all ages to come out and have a great time at this family event. We’re selling $1 raffle tickets to give away prizes throughout the day. If your name isn’t drawn for a prize, you’ll be entered into a large pot to win $50 and $100 O’Reilly gift cards.”

Food trucks will be provided. Food truck vendors are encouraged to contact O’Reilly in advance to set up and coordinate. Car and truck owners interested in registering for the auto show can pick up an application at O’Reilly Auto Parts in Jamieson. There is a $10 registration fee to enter the autos. Auto show winners will receive a trophy, be featured in O’Reilly Magazine and possibly the 2023 O’Reilly Calendar.

For more information, contact Burnett at O’Reilly’s Auto Parts at 205-287-7171. O’Reilly’s Auto Parts is located at 24744 Hwy 31 in Jemison.
