Planning a trip to the Cayman Islands? It just became completely easy.
The Cayman Islands have officially removed all travel restrictions, meaning no additional screening, vaccination verification or registration of any kind.
According to the new regulations, the destination is open to vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers, no screening is required.
In other words, just book your trip, get on the plane and enjoy your vacation.
“The new regulations are in line with the current global situation, and I fully support and welcome the travel restrictions,” said Cayman Islands Tourism and Transport Minister Kenneth Bryant. “[This] It’s a great day in Cayman – and we’re grateful to every traveler, partner and member of our community for making our government’s grand opening a success. Finally, we can proudly say that the Cayman Islands are open to all!”
The news comes as Cayman is eyeing extensive air capacity to the destination ahead of the 2019 phase-out before the outbreak.
Cayman is poised for major growth in just a few months as Cayman Airways launches its first-ever flights from Los Angeles.
“We’ve seen an increase in visitors to our beautiful destination with each new opening phase, and we recently celebrated a major tourism recovery milestone by increasing air transport capacity,” said Rosa Harris, Cayman Islands Director of Tourism. “We are ready to open our doors to all who wish to visit us and believe that the future of Cayman tourism is strong.”
The removal of restrictions means that travelers can find an amazing variety of destinations in Grand Cayman, from one of the culinary capitals of the Caribbean peninsula to home to one of the best beaches on Earth – and two of the most beautiful golf courses in the Caribbean.
That, along with Grand Cayman Camana Bay, is a mixed-use community with a Cayman Islands town square, shops, restaurants, cinema, cultural activities and abundant energy.
For further exploration there are the sister islands of Cayman Brac and Little Cayman; The former, a naturally beautiful island built for adventure, diving and farm-to-table dining; The latter is a small, toes-in-the-sand beach for a pristine Caribbean getaway.
