The Darien Community Association (DCA) is hosting a Sustainable Designer Fashion Show and Sale on Thursday, September 15th!
To focus on DCA Thrift Shop’s role as an eco-friendly fashion supplier and reseller, DCA hosts a sustainable fashion showcase featuring designer fashions sold in the store. The event features local models showcasing clothes from top designers Gucci, Celine, Jil Sander, Valentino and Prada, as well as more contemporary labels such as Rag & Bone, Mother and Helmut Lang.
This event will be held at the Darien Community Association located at 274 Middlesex Road. All participants will be entered into a door prize to win a Jimmy Choo handbag. A separate raffle featuring other designer bags will also be part of the event. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the DCA Thrift Shop at 966 Boston Post Road in Darien beginning August 30th as well as at the event. Raffle tickets are $10 each or 3 for $20.
“The fashion show gives us a great opportunity to showcase the high-quality clothing and accessories we sell in store. With resale becoming more popular, the time was right for us to focus on the Thrift Shop for sustainable fashion,” said Deb Danielle, Thrift Shop Manager.
Donation Update:
The DCA Thrift Shop cannot accept donations of fall or winter clothing until September. We appreciate the many donations from the community and your patience as our volunteers work to sort and organize them.
