Featuring black designers and paying homage to fashion icons at Saturday’s event.
This Saturday, August 20, the opening Dallas Celeb Fashion Awards will be held on Statler A hotel in downtown Dallas.
Strode said she created the star-studded event to “celebrate black celebrities with iconic brands, showcase black designers and pay homage to fashion icons.”
The gala showcases a high-energy show that shines fashion brands Karl Kani, Dapper And, FubuAnd Baby Pt. Founders and representatives of all four brands will be in attendance.

The event pays tribute to the late fashion designer Virgil Abo And to fashion editor and icon Andre Leon Talley“Not only for fashion, but for all of your contributions to the African-American community.
Tittia Owens and comedian Griff (Also co-presenter of “Get Up! Morning”. Erica Campbell) will emcee the event’s red carpet, hosted by an Emmy Award-winning host. Ro Parrish.
Proceeds from the event benefit a variety of DFW charities for the homeless, single mothers, seniors and mental health awareness.
