But we’re starting to wrap things up, and this round of coverage covers a whole host of odds and ends, like one company’s effort to make eco-friendly child seats, two novel ways to put eyes on the back. Your head, an easy solution to add main cargo capacity to any bike, a neat way to organize your panniers and more.

Spurcycle is getting into the rearview mirror game with a little trickier prototype that attaches to a helmet or helmet visor.
When not in use, the mirror is going to flow up.
Abby Bike Equipment’s new BB SCT is designed to fit perfectly on Shimano’s direct-mount chainrings. And yes, that’s the best display stand ever – home made, and no, they don’t sell it.
Giro’s new Ethos MIPS touring helmet has a built-in light that can be controlled via a bar-mounted remote.
Turn signal capability is also built-in.
What’s all the helmet vision, you ask? They are not for aerodynamics. Sights are gaining favor among riders, especially in Europe, especially among the e-bike crowd.

Ortlieb launched a new top tube bag called the Fuel Package.
The Ortlieb fuel pack features a magnetic closure that is easy to open and convenient for one-handed operation. The interior is padded to keep things from jiggling around, and there’s an extra pocket to help you organize your things.
If you don’t already have threaded fasteners, strong fasteners will secure the fuel pack to your top tube. The large rubber feet are enough to keep the bag from rolling over the top tube without having to attach it to the fork as usual.
Ortlieb also showed off some new packing cubes for its panniers, which are designed not only to cram more stuff into limited space, but also to help organize those things better.
There’s even a toiletry bag – with a mirror!
The Old Man Mountain Elkhorn Rack looks incredibly sturdy and offers plenty of ways to carry your gear.
Triple threaded inserts on the shelf legs provide another place to attach bags if you don’t want to carry traditional panniers.
Robert Axel bought Old Man Mountain in 2019, and it was a natural combination. Custom rods offer threaded ends built for heavy duty, and allow heavy-duty racks to be attached even if the frame or fork doesn’t make a proper eyepiece.

N-Lock isn’t new, but it still amazes me that it’s absolutely brilliant. A mechanism in the stem removes the extension from the handlebar so the bike cannot be driven. That certainly won’t stop someone from just taking your bike, but it’s another tool to thwart common thieves.
Dutch brand Bobike is investing heavily in sustainable manufacturing practices, including using non-petroleum-based materials for its children’s seats.
