Puducherry

Once known as Pondicherry, and simply referred to as Pondi, Puducherry is a beautiful coastal resort located near Tamil Nadu.

The former French Quarter is a bustling, lively city full of French architecture, historical landmarks, and restaurants serving authentic French cuisine and other international cuisine.

A few more must-sees — the lively nightlife, the beach parties, Auroville and Sri Aurobindo’s Ashram.

Another lesser known attraction of Puducherry is the dense Pichavaram mangrove forest. It is less than three hours by road and offers the opportunity to take in one of the natural wonders by boat.
