About 20 members of UC Health’s on-field and hospital-based medical teams were invited for recognition events and attended the game as guests of the NFL.

“These outstanding teams take pride in providing advanced medical care to every member of our community who needs us, every day,” said Rob Wiehe, EVP/COO, UC Health & Chief Administrative Officer, University of Cincinnati Medical Center. “We thank the NFL for recognizing them.”

They were honored for the collective team’s role in providing lifesaving medical care to Hamlin after he suffered cardiac arrest and collapsed on the field of Paycor Stadium on January 2 during a Monday Football Night game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Buffalo Bills.
