In fact, within months Euphoria – the year’s most influential show in fashion – managed to make the Y2K aesthetic more desirable than ever.
Some TV shows are inseparable from fashion. gossip girl And Sex and the City They have proven time and time again that they can propel a brand or designer to dizzying heights of popularity with just one piece. But in recent years, television’s influence on the fashion world has surpassed anything we’ve seen before. Dramas like Squid game Or Lupine, with plots that are far from fashion legends, have managed to become real trendsetters. This phenomenon turned simple fictional characters into major fashion influences.

The return of Y2K
On this front, Euphoria — the drama starring Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demi and Barbie Ferrera — has now topped the list as the most influential fashion TV series of 2022. A study conducted by fast fashion brand Boohoo* reported no fewer than 132,900 fashion-related searches worldwide. These figures are impressive, especially considering that the show’s second season will air in early 2022.Euphoria Costumes” was searched an average of 121,000 times per month, more than any other TV series in the top 10.
While all the stars of the show are now considered fashionable, Alexa Demi – aka Maddie Perez – stands out as a particularly big contributor to the Y2K revival taking place in our clothes this year.
