Unlike the celebrities and influencers we know in person and by name, these creative geniuses are less public figures and more personal trendsetters. They are the creative directors behind the collections we always jump to see every fashion week. They are responsible for vetting or rejecting ideas, such as brand vision, from design to marketing. Creative directors are similar to playmakers in the NBA, and in that fashion, they “trade” in and out of different brands, so different fashion labels get the distinct flavor of each personality, developing a reputation for such labels. ‘Alessandro Michele Gucci’ or ‘Hedi Slimane for Celine’.

Just 41 years old, the Belgian fashion designer had some pretty big shoes to fill after inheriting Hedi Slimane’s 4-year reign as Saint Laurent’s creative director. Vaccarello won several fashion awards in France, but it was Karl Lagerfeld who first brought him into his inner circle, who hired him to work on the Fendi hair line. Silvia Venturini Fendi: Fendi

Silvia, the creative heir to the Fendi dynasty, won our hearts again with her latest menswear collection this Milan Fashion Week. She has been the head of menswear and accessories at Fendi since 1994, proving to us that she understands the evolution of fashion over time. As the creator of the famous baguette bag, Venturini took the baguette to new heights by literally creating a baguette in shape and form. “This is very important for the French market.” After celebrating the 25th anniversary Fendi Baguette with Tiffany & Co, Sylvia just teases us into questioning her endless supply of creative juices. With skin-baring sweaters, Fendi reverse prints and luxurious outerwear, Venturini always makes sure she has something on hand. Define this new set as self “Comfortable, Sexy and Cool”, The pieces were seen in neutral shades combined with dynamic textures and vintages.

Dean and Dan Caten: Dsquared2

The semi-anonymous label Dsquared2 has confirmed that Kate’s twins are a lifetime number. As one of the most adventurous and colorful brands out there, the 53-year-old dreamed up a class of outcasts who could finally shine under the spotlight with their most talked-about latest show at Milan Fashion Week. Geeks, emos, jocks, and goths united on the runway to showcase their menswear (as well as womenswear). T-shirts with provocative messages such as ‘Choke’ or ‘Nice and Nasty’, unbuttoned, distressed and taped dances, accompanied by a play on oversized rodeo belt buckles and trucker hats. Dean and Dan prove once again that they are still not afraid to show their wild side. This collection seems to combine textures, colors and dynamic patterns with western rodeo in a teenage individuality room.
