TROY – Members of the Zotto family, owners of the Knotty Pine Tavern in Troy for 34 of its 76-year history before closing in 2021, are returning to the restaurant business. They launched a Facebook page Monday for Zotto’s The Pine Restaurant and Bar on Hosick Road in Brunswick.

Zotto’s The Pine Kevin Zotto, who owns The Pine with his brother Danny, has an Italian-themed menu that is largely synonymous with The Pine.

Zotto’s The Pine’s address is 814 Hoosick Road, Brunswick. Another Italian restaurant, Two Brothers Restaurant & Bar, closed last week after 25 years.

The Zotto brothers plan extensive renovations and will have a liquor license at their new location, Kevin Zotto said.

Knotty Pines, located at 2301 15th St., at Hutton Street, closed on May 1 of last year, shortly after World War II. The Zotto family took over in 1987. The closure was prompted by the sale of the building.
