Technology workers classify their work among the simplest jobs in the United States

While most Americans believe that digestion is a good thing, there are people in the technology industry who believe that their work is less complicated than others.

Working in the technology industry can cost a lot of money, but hard work can be successful in the field. Or does he do it?

According to a new study by Ek & Go, about half of the 1,000 American workers surveyed believe that their industry requires the least effort.

The study detailed the potential for success, noting that the United States is experiencing a recession, and that people still believe that hard work is needed to succeed. 65% of respondents believe that hard work is a guarantee of success. There were some very popular responses to what it means to work hard:

• Taking extra responsibility at work (62%)
• Longer working hours (57%)
• Working on side noise (53%)
• Earning additional degrees or certificates (33%)
• Handicrafts (33%)
• Take less breaks (25%)

However, in the technology sector, 40 percent believe that their industry needs less work to succeed. This part may be related to the nature of the work. Another aspect to consider is the income of technology workers. Due to the high demand for skilled manpower, workers in this field typically receive a six-figure salary, which eliminates “side congestion” or extra overtime work.

In addition to technology, people working in the third tier in the arts / entertainment and agricultural backgrounds were also believed to benefit from the simplicity of their work.

With the shift of work ethic to hybrid and remote models, the idea of ​​working more hours equitably has been a break. Of the 1,000 workers included in the study, most Americans said a regular 40-hour work week was not necessary for long-term prosperity. On average, respondents believed that all tasks could be completed in just 36.2 hours per week, with most believing they would be more effective in a short period of time.

As the United States continues to face the Great Depression, most workers still believe that the best way to build a corporate ladder is to work hard with their current organization. The majority of respondents criticized their hard work because they were more influenced by their college degree (68%) and career advancement than their intelligence and communication skills (63%).

One person’s path to success may be good for them, while others may have different paths to good fortune. While some of the steps that need to be taken are up to the individual, one thing is for sure: Tech remains a viable and high-growth option without many shortcomings associated with other careers.
