Eighth-graders at St. Ann’s School in Arlington will debut the school’s only sweatshirts, featuring a new logo, at a fashion show on Aug. 18.

“We’ve got a new logo, a refreshed logo and a unique eighth grade sweater for our 8th graders,” said Oriana McGregor, the school’s director of development, enrollment and marketing.

McGregor hosted a fashion show for new parents and students. Music filled the air and parents and students cheered as students strutted down the red carpet runway on a sunny Thursday afternoon. Featured in the fashion show were formal, summer, winter and gym uniforms, as well as a special sweatshirt for eighth graders.

“We wanted to show our parents basic, formal uniforms and summer options. That’s why we decided to do a fashion show,” McGregor said. “I think they’re particularly excited about the PE uniforms that they wear twice a week. It’s comfortable clothing.” She said the school will gradually upgrade their uniforms with the new logo.

Lenka and Stephen Romeo, parents of first-grader Marcus Romeo, one of the airline’s models, are excited about the new logo, saying everything has to improve at some point. They also believe it is very inviting and shows more of what the spirit of St. Anne is all about.

“I think parents like the consistency of the uniforms like any other Catholic school. I know as a parent myself, I always love it when my sons and daughter know exactly what to wear,” said Principal Anthony Sahadi. “The kids are always very positive about the uniforms and the parents are always very positive.”

After the fashion show, attendees will enjoy popsicles and check out new uniforms in the pop-up shop.
