The nonprofit Plant Powered Metro New York held a series of health freedom walks in honor of Martin Luther King Day on Monday.
There were walks in the Bronx, Harlem and Brooklyn.
By shining a light on empowerment through nutrition, participants said they were able to enjoy a plant-based restaurant tasting tour.
Participants were also able to have their health questions answered by local doctors.
