August 22, 2022 — International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF) has inaugurated its newest US-based Nourish Innovation Lab at the company’s Union Beach, New Jersey R&D center. In the state-of-the-art laboratory, scientists – including tasters and food designers – use tools, technologies and ingredient knowledge to provide customers with complete product design.

Among other highlights, IFF partnered with Israeli food technology startup SimpliiGood by Algacor Technologies to produce the first commercial smoked salmon analog from a single ingredient – ​​whole fresh spirulina.
