USA – Jacqueline Horsley of Preston has been hired as a math technician for South Georgia Technical College’s America campus, SGTC President John Watford announced recently. She will report to Leah Ko, vice president of administrative services.

Horsley worked for Cooper Lighting Solutions in Preston, Ga. as a senior assistant in financial accounting. She worked at Cooper Light Solutions and Cooper Light for 35 years. She also has experience as a General Accountant, Cost Accountant and Accounts Receivable Clerk.

She earned a Diploma in Accounting and Business Administration from South Georgia Tech and then attended Georgia Southwestern State University where she earned her Bachelor of Applied Science in Accounting. She is a graduate of Tri-County High School in Buena Vista, GA.

As an accounting technician at South Georgia Tech, Horsley is responsible for performing a variety of professional accounting tasks related to financial accounting processes. She provides clerical support to the Business Office, provides exceptional customer service for students, staff and outside vendors, and handles staff travel requests and issues. At the beginning of each semester, she helps out at the Americus or Crisp County Center bookstore.

Other duties include: assisting with daily deposits, cashiering duties, and entering routine transactions into accounting systems and performing other duties in addition to assigned duties.

Jacqueline is married to Alfred Horsley and they have two daughters, Chelsea and Tamika, and two grandchildren, Zoe and DJ.
